About Me

My name is Atchaya S. I have finished my Master’s degree in Microbiology. During my time in school I became very interested in Microbiology, laboratory techniques, quality control and research. My main strengths are that I learn quickly I work hard I am responsible. I am ready to learn new methods. I am especially interested in teaching to students. Microbiology is the branch of biology that deals with the study of microorganisms such as bacteria, fungi, viruses, protozoa and algae. Microbiology is important in fields, including healthcare, pharmaceuticals, food industries, agriculture, environmental science and biotechnology. During my MSc Microbiology I studied subjects such as bacteriology, virology, mycology, immunology, molecular biology, microbial genetics and industrial microbiology. I also learned laboratory techniques such as microscopy, staining, culture and isolation of microorganisms, media preparation, sterilization, biochemical tests and microbial identification. Microbiology is especially important in the pharmaceutical and food industries because microorganisms can cause contamination and disease. Therefore microbiologists play a role in quality control, sterility testing, microbial testing, contamination prevention and maintaining product safety. Thank you.
