About Me

I teach English and Hindi to children and adults, and I've spent the last three years doing it in classrooms, in students' homes, and over Zoom. Most recently, I taught English and Hindi to Grades 2 to 5 at Cambridge Group of Schools in Madurai, following the State Board curriculum with 30 students per class. My focus was on getting young learners reading, writing, and speaking with confidence. I planned lessons around interactive activities, checked progress through classwork, assignments, and exams, and gave extra support to students who needed it. By the end of the year, students at every level had improved their English and Hindi through regular practice. Before that, I ran my own tutoring practice in Chennai. I taught Hindi reading, writing, grammar (Vyakaran), and spoken Hindi to CBSE students across different classes. I also taught working professionals who wanted practical Hindi for daily and workplace conversation. I prepared worksheets, dictation, and recitation practice for each learner's level, tracked progress through regular tests and homework, and kept parents updated. My qualifications: - B.Ed., SAS Educational College (Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University) - B.A. in English, Bharathidasan University - Rashtrabhasha Praveen Uttarardh (equivalent to a B.A. in Hindi), Dakshina Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha I speak Hindi and English fluently and Tamil conversationally. That helps me explain ideas in whatever way a learner finds clearest, especially when Hindi is a second or third language for them.
